Description

This course is for the beginner Coder who wants to make mobile app games for others to play on their phones. Using drag and drop coding, kids will have the chance to make a number of games. If they have a passion to mobile app games for devices and if they have never coded before then this is the course for them.

Intro to Mobile App Games (Level 1)
Covering the basic concepts of Mobile App Games through fun and easy to learn tasks. This course will have them making a their first game Platformer Game in no time. Starting with the basics of game design and game styles, kids will create their first game with all the general features and multiple levels.

Intro to Mobile App Games (Level 2)
For those who are following on from “Introduction to Mobile App Games 1”, this course is designed to extend their skills further. Through the creation of a top down maze game, this course will help them develop a deeper understanding of Mobile App Games. Building on their previous knowledge, we dive in to more complex game designs and learn about new game features, more complex coding and creating their own characters.

Intro to Mobile App Games (Level 3)
The 3rd part of our Introduction to Mobile App Games course, this course is designed for kids who have completed the previous 2 parts of this course. Here they will have the opportunity to learn more detailed features of Game Design and apply what they have learnt through the creation of an endless runner style game.

Intro to Mobile App Games (Level 4)
Using all the skills developed over the last 3 levels, this course is designed to showcase what they have learnt throughout the levels. Here they will have the opportunity to learn about and make their own RPG style game. A great way in which to wrap up and display what they have learnt throughout this course.

How long do the sessions go?

Each sessions runs for 1 1/2 hours over 6 consecutive weeks.


What time can I drop my child off?

Children can be dropped off 15 minutes prior to the starting time


What can I bring into the event?

We provide all the computers, equipment and software. Yet if your child does have a laptop they may choose to bring this along.
